Skiing

S kiing in this snowy week on icy stretches that endlessly sprawl, K eeping legs on the skis securely firm and standing tall, I tching to experience the thrill in every rise and dip, I go down hills in rising vigor, never losing grip. N onplussed by the steep landing with wind on my face, G aily I speed down the icy slopes in triumphant chase. Jan.19.2023 Skiing Poetry Contest Sponsor- Julia Ward

The excitement of skiing was vividly brought to life for me by your excellent poetry. Although I've never tried it, I enjoy watching people ski steep in a race. Best wishes for the contest.

I see the images sliding down hill--wind blowing--joy!

Delightful, Valsa; your lovely poem brought the thrill of skiing to life for me. I have never intentionally gone to ski, only down a flight of stairs on a wintry morning. Ouch! Oh, comes to mind, I did do sledding as a kid, and it was great fun. Blessings my friend.

Love to watch the downhill racers on Ski Sunday, they're amazing to watch. I've never tried it but water skied once in Mauritius. Good luck in the contest. Tom

Great, I never skied in my life, but I felt doing so with your fine description.

Thank you Jo for your kind warning. Now I see I have missed out something. I shall include it and somehow modify.
