Silent Reveries

She sits in silence all day long, Remembering those days past gone, Rewriting them as a sad song, Cajoling herself to move on... The silence speaks to her so clear, She sits in silence all day long, Reminding of her sweetheart dear, That same person who did her wrong... She knows that she will scrape along Somehow through this mess of her life, She sits in silence all day long, To forget him - oh! that's her strife! How to erase those memories, Those lovely dreams that made her strong, Now to relive such reveries, She sits in silence all day long. 06.21.2020

A forlorn story of despair in silence. I could feel the emotions on this journey of your muse Jo. Congratulations on your win. God bless you. Keep writing and inspiring :)

What a lovely-cute piece. Sad though but lovely. I hope she forgets him quickly and move on to enjoy life. I sense more of heartbreak here than death. Congratulations on your win.

Somehow this brings to mind an old song titled “Delta Dawn”. Some memories haunt us. I think many fear the silence.

Hello Jo Daniel, I sense her loneliness I sense her silence. She needs this to think clearly. To remember that her sweetheart did her wrong. Enjoy your day my friend.
