Silent Night - For Contest
Silent Night
A silence enveloped all
slowing the pace
of everything.
Yellow glow of city lights
shadows - following
meandering mice,
whispered hymns
roosting in the blue
ice crusted branches,
moon dancing silhouettes
pirouetting atop
drifted snow,
cool breath exhaled
upon restless
reverie,
peace
kissing the earth
in silence.
