She's Hurting - Anacreontic Verse
Everyday hurting
Abused by humans
But she battles on
Accepting demands
Penetration scars
Poisoned flowing blues
We see on the news
Her beautiful lands
Bleached with conflict
Scarred terrains bleed
Destroying life's seed
Because of our greed
Continual ooze
We see on the news
Reaction to action
Splintering, fractions
Business sanctioned
Will there be traction
Will she blow a fuse
Soon to be dealt blues
We're not on the news.
