Shadow of Silhouette

When ashes rise you walk senses alert In the dense darkness of the opaque night I hear footsteps in the throb of my heart You shape your shadow in me out of sight. When clouds drift you walk to the rising sun Footprints in shadow trail see you in black Mystique colors on an angel you turn Hold my shadow as sun shines on my back. When dusk falls you walk away from the sun To find you in the faceless shape I wait You and your shadow become a fused one I see you disguised in the silhouette. In the twilight years I desire to get A space in your shadow of silhouette. September 12, 2017.
