there is such beauty in the dark
it wraps warm like mother's arms
whispers sweet, the tympans of the soul
the soft, pure backdrop of the shimmering heavens
and yet ... it can be a dungeon of dank horrors
where impulse does not mean action
intents float down endless hallways of doubt and diversion,
neurons firing when they shouldn't
not firing when they should
notion and sense without bookends or boundary
like a mad, magic show that never ends the same
impulse forcing to repeat ... repeat ... repeat
make flawless action of what is mundane and absurd
yet if it's not done right, surely the unthinkable.
there is no prison as impenetrable - as inescapable
as the one in a damaged mind
and no one can hear you …
screaming.
