seven spirits of stars


...when thorns ruffled my rose
and sunflowers stole the light 
my intuition searched 
those seven spirits of faith ~ 
once lulled by whispering waves... 

caressed by wisdom
wild stars wore breaths of saffron...
raining alphabets
I glitter in mermaid grooves ~
hymn of herbs healing my heart...

Hi dear Hiya, wonder how I missed seeing this lovely metaphoric poem as POTD! Your poetic heart of a rose was torn by thorns. It must have been painful. But you adhered to the 'seven spirits of faith' that the muse in you was revived and '"alphabets were rained". They came dancing and tickling you to your own amazement and the amazement and delight of all who read them. I never knew that Tanka could be made so beautiful and poetic. Congratulations on your POTD and first place win!
