I just saw the movie Beautiful Boy and this reminds me of that movie which tells the story of drug addiction. I did not realize this. But death from overdose is the leading cause of death in Americans under 50.

Hi Line, Self inflicted and irreversible damage - this can also be interpreted as relations who perhaps disagree, have a huge argument and never talk again, until one day it is too late to say sorry! True but sad but beautifully expressed. Best wishes, Jennifer

Gosh, Line, this applies to so many people. At times we are our own worst enemies. When I hear of people like Robin Williams and Anthony Bourdain taking their own lives, I always see it as "a baffling waste." Profound, Line. Hugs, Carolyn

I see this, not often,but it is horrifying. Cutting and withholding food and punishing yourself in other ways is a real way for some to bring back feelings they have tamped down and ignored for a long time.
