Seek and Ye Shall Find
I have played this game
of “Hide and Seek” with God
never sure who was “it”.
Was it He who hid
from me – or me
from Him.
Alas, I play the game
each day – again
not sure of where He is
or why he hides
unsure of those who say
He still abides.
As children do – I count
with shielded eyes
then seek – a hidden God
they say to trust
as in dismay I wander
dawn to dusk.
