Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow.”
- John Lennon
Written 9th July, 2026 for a contest I missed. Sometimes my thoughts are too slow.
I search and find deep within, Written verses in ash of how we began, I console, I try to make change, Everything has been preordained. No matter how hard I try, I'm trapped in your pulse , Nothing else feels real, There is turmoil in my soul. Trapped within these walls, I am the asylum of your ache, Pain rips my inner being, I have no place to go. Now as time restarts its flow, I taste your truth you've hidden well, I see your pulse is faulting, Our time is nearly in the past. Where orchids dream, I'm found, Creating a new reality, Writing a new verse in the ash, Where we both go free.
