Same Old Holiday Bench

On moonglow's frosty -white of stone
The gleaming lanterns bid me walk
On icy road .... pines stand alone
As hums warble a Christmas talk :
And night unfurls its shading pall
While on a bench I lounge to dream,
To relish a charm which recalls
Winters of yore that drift, agleam.
Amid an old park’s shimmered bend
Those girlhood days rewind life’s zing--
Holiday treats, joy through night's end
Rush from my breath like angel's wing:
This same park bench, for now, is mine
To rest old feet ...a little while
In fondest thought and dreams divine
When creases on eyes wear Yuletide's smile.
