Rose Meadow
In a state of half wakefulness,
I lay dreaming of you,
Dancing in a rose meadow
Amidst pervading perfume,
You saw me watching and smiled my way,
Exhilarating me,
I joined you in that rose meadow
And we danced together,
Suddenly, you vanished into thin air,
And a thousand thorns pricked me,
I woke up...
...screaming.
