Robins

Six robins hop among the gravestones silent staring monuments Names, dates, inscriptions shadowy reminders about lives beneath unsettled bones charred fragments of love Six robins hop in their fiery vests feathery red embers on terrain explored for sparse morsels pecking March's crumpled ground Gritty resilience like the lives beneath still seeded in the living

Thanks very much Christuraj. I am posting on a different poetry site now with my edgy entries, a site that offers poets a wider acceptance. Be well. Sincere regards, Brian

LOved the robins showing, "fiery vests" & like descriptions. You are a good poet in my book. Of course, the sad element is the robins are among the gravestones, folks who have "charred fragments of love." It is not clear why, but the final stanza is brilliant: "seeded in the living" both human and robin!

Hello Anil Thank you again for your positive remarks. The last stanza alludes to remnant seeds the robins seek, but also to the connection between generations gone + present. We (here today) have the seeds of our forefathers + mother's. Life's circumference. Best wishes + thank you for your thoughtful insights. Brian
