I have noticed in my writing, I start with a story, but melt it down to it's most accessible bits, lending it to be more open to the interpretation of the reader. I am so often surprised. It's the words that tell what to write. ;) xomo

Nope, sometimes not. I started this with far more detail about my grandma passing at 92, they found her to be "riddled" with cancer, a nurse said, if they had found it, she wouldn't have survived the treatment... but in my usual sieve style... ;) xomo!

Hmmm this is a thinker Maureen. But it seems your poem answers itself. It ends not being riddled with bullets, but with peace. A poem for the ages.
