This is a tricky poem for me. Because I've never seen a gun walk up the street and kill someone without a hand budded around the handle. Them video games may numb their sense of reality, or may compel them act out a fantasy 9 destruction.

This is more a shot at the President. I’m not anti gun. I just think Assault rifles and bump stock are not what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the second amendment. If people would defend religious rights with the same passion the country wouldn’t need so many guns.

Nothing kills anyone without a hand and human will ... Even a thick and heavy Bible can kill ... just hit someone's head , and we will see... salute my friend, alkasKT3...

Yes but it would take a lot longer to do a mass killing with a Bible.

What a great one liner Richard. We always need to put the blame on the stupid things we do. I'm not an advocate of the NRA, but I used to hunt and so still have guns in the house. I've never killed a person, but then didn't play very many video games; yet I still love to shoot. A nice Rickism.

Hey Rick, interesting take on the saying. Amazing how people think. I heard a comedian say "American's think Canadian's are sooo nice, we're not really nice ....we just know they carry guns". Sad situation really not funny at all!

During an interview with CNN, Biden addressed the shootings in El Paso and Dayton as "pure and simple terrorism", he also addressed that it's "not immigrants doing these things. They're American citizens doing these things." Mr Biden calls for a national buy-back program on assault weapons and a ban on new assault weapon purchases...

people kill people with guns, bombs, poison, knives, video games may help to flourish the seeds that grow in troubled minds...killing is not a natural act, it's bred somewhere within... good write Rick :) hugs

Actually, people kill people. "Guns" is just an inanimate plural noun like "games". Inanimate objects have no free will.

We have a strong law against guns in a here, but people keep killing each other with table knives. I think the problem is not with table knives, but with human nature. On the other hand, there are countries that try to control human nature, say, China or North Korea, but for some reason I don't want to be a citizen of such a country.

There are lots of inanimate objects that I am not concerned about. Guns on the other hand do concern me. We can’t control people so we might as well start by controlling guns.

Real Racing Rickism - video games are cool, such fun, they do no harm unless radical, irresponsible reaction comes about, from reckless people who want to realistically bring the video to life and cause devastation and bring about ruin with real guns! TRUE, my friend Richard, unfortunately, a lot of video games have to do with eliminating people a d when these games get into the psyche of an immature person who doesn't distinguish between reality and virtual reality, it doesn't help. Terrible what happens when people abandon God! THOU SHALL NOT KILL!

Yes I agree there is an erosion of morals and desensitization. In this case I direct this to the NRA and the President who are deflecting the conversation about gun control.

Thanks Brandy. There is a correlation, USA has the highest number of guns and the highest number of mass shootings.
