Richard, I See Your Soul
Richard Lamoureux, I have you figured out,
because I read some of your poems back to 2012,
thirteen pages of penned beauty and soulful writes.
Your first posted poem
translucent with snow,
and others like Tears of an unknown boy,
where men can cry and your faith shines,
and your Broken Glass poem drips with forgotten love.
It was you who brought us the QuesionKu!
Oh, Melted Tears of days gone by, sadness and love.
Healed Wing's line, born to fly on wings of strength.
You hide bits of yourself on bottom shelves,
you see beyond words,
you see all the lovely bones, shattering roses,
all tomorrows and todays, all the cups empty,
all the broken souls and you have soul, oh yes, you do.
And whether you are writing in Rhyme, Cinquain, Acrostic,
Free Verse, Sonnet, Haiku, Couplet, or even Pantoum,
you take us on a journey, we just slip into your words,
and we are transported,
and see within your poetic soul.
And you are not afraid to pen in, I Don't Know,
and take the Villanelle and Terzanelle on,
But one thing is certain you are a beautiful soul to behold.
