Retired---PS

I said when I was only ten I knew just what I wished to be. I now look back with no regrets. The choice to teach was right for me. Great news emerged, and I retired. when I’d taught school for many years. I learned I’d be a grandma soon; With no regrets, I changed “careers.” For twenty years I helped raise kids~~ the first, a girl; and then a boy~~ each day while both their parents worked. My family still brings deep joy. A common thread that runs throughout my poetry has always been the children who have filled my life. They all still motivate my pen. As mama, grandma, teacher~~now retiree poet~~I am blessed. This life is full of writing prompts! To this great blessing, I attest.
