Remember Me, Lost In This Black Abyss

Remember Me, Lost In This Black Abyss When I could not touch thy heart I cried sharp daggers pierced, sad and dying soul. If only, in that moment had I died and not fell into this cavernous hole! Sweet Helen, know that moment we both lost dark thunder had sounded by the lost bay. To change that, I would pay any high cost yet thy pure heart my love could never sway! Remember me! Lost in this black abyss spears pierce my wounded heart and tear filled eyes. Thy image my sad heart now does so miss I long to again see deep blue skies! In desperate depths, this lost soul low moans. Pray, thy heart feels its deep yearning tones! R.J. Lindley, Sept 12th, 1977 Sonnet, (Deep Sorrow) http://www.lindleypoetry.com/

Sorrowfully tortured was the man in your abyss, and exquisitely penned, Robert.

This is very good Robert. I could feel the need and the longing laced through your words. The depth of the sadness is so well expressed.

Robert, this is very moving mate! And one of your older ones I see! When I stare into the abyss the abyss stares back! I love that quote! Another gem in your collection of gems!
