Relentlessly, I Will Rise

Relentlessly, I Will Rise

I will rise
Rise to fight back
Back into my memories of love
Love of my family and dear friends
Friends that kept me alive and sailing along
Along stormy seas in a sturdy craft of spirited defiance
Defiance of this evil darkness now attempting to cast me down
Down in spirit but now newfound bravery in heart and soul's dance
Dance into halls paved within the mind's power to fight on relentlessly
Relentlessly, I will command my spirit to hold onto the light, precious light.
I will rise
I will rise
I will rise

Thanks Laura. I wanted to see if I could write without rhyme and still do a decent poem... Rhyme being my great strength in poetry. I am very pleased that this poem turned out so well.

Thanks my friend. I can see no other choice but to fight constantly against the coming darkness. One of our greatest treasures in life is the memory of love of family, friends and others. I refuse to ever forget my father!!! Greatest soul I've ever known...
