"I am the light of the world. He who follows Me
shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
John 8:12 _ Bible
My Journey Into I Am That I Am
I have been a lucky girl in this life,
have been taught morals and coping ability:
even though I have felt life's knife,
I have no greed, envy, malice- only civility;
and control anger and fear with tranquility.
It takes years but I can now transcend,
from my outer self into my inner self that hides:
and as a tree in the mighty wind I bend,
releasing a character flaw as a leaf that glides;
and in enlightenment there are many guides.
My journey to I am has been long,
and I work each day at letting go of the past:
knowing sorrow made me strong,
I want the now and not- what has long passed;
because there is beauty everywhere so vast.
So, I put the pictures of the dead,
within a chest to rest where I can often go:
and love lays in this memory bed,
and then, I close the lid on all my former woe;
and to people and new moments I now say hello !
