Red is lonely, bereft in aqua isolation
Missing that misty half, that sapphire soul-
Cool balance of crystal breeze to luscious lava
The teal serenity of marine ocean, the bliss of indigo twilight...
So Red asks the azure sky for answers-
And finds them in cerulean lakes, in periwinkle dawns,
The turquoise trees of spring, the cobalt cornflowers,
In royal wishing stars shining through the navy night-
Until hurting orange and bruised maroon grow wings of lavender.
