‘Make me a channel of your peace’ :  Author- Christopher West

“Make me a channel of your peace

When there is hatred, let me bring your love”

Rays of peace I pray: Hymn When life faces turbulence, turmoil Tempest whirling violent vortex Vision blurred, boiling emotions, conscience to coil Let me bring rays of peace. When life groans, broods, turns grave in gloom Malice and betrayal hitting hammer From muddy clay beautiful lotus to bloom. Let me bring rays of joy. When all the doors are shut finding no outlet No progress, life stands stagnant, still Perplexity, frustration, failure only to upset Let me bring rays of hope. When life is shattered in grief and pain No solace or consolation to expect putting self -esteem in dreadful disdain Let me bring rays of honor. 08/17/20 Third Place 'In Honor of Charles Wesley' Contest by Kim Rodrigues

I like the way you changed the ending of the repeat line. Rather like the original channel of peace by St. Francis. Beautiful rendering of the same thoughts. Congrats on your win.
