A rambling rose
Falling messily
Across the eyes
Tossing in the wind
Blooms trailing
Along the railing
Merrily cheering
Hearts in need
Of some kindness
Some compassion
Feelings flowing
From the souls
Of those lonely buds
Who linger long
After first frost
Only in memories
Who keep yearning
For the tenderness
Of that playful rose
Coloring the heart
In a scarlet thought
Of love eternal
