"Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby." Langston Hughes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am the soft pitter-patter, a gentle lullaby,
a cascading melody, winding down your windowpane.
Each droplet is a note in nature’s symphony.
I am a timeless storyteller,
Weaving tales on the canvas of the earth.
Each droplet is a word, each puddle a paragraph.
I am a ballet of nature, graceful and wild,
Leaping from rooftops and pirouetting in puddles
Watch me as I dance!
I am an intimate embrace from the sky,
Washing away, not just the dust of the day,
But also your burdens, worries, heartaches, and pains.
