This paints a nostalgic picture of how neighborhoods in years gone by were often near farms or forests and how wonderful it was to watch the rain pelt down and even more, to smell as water and sand combined on a hot summer day leaving a trail of earthy steam rising from the hot ground. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

A poem that captures the essence of rain, which is something we could all need more of. The soothing sound of rain has a calming effect on both the heart and the thoughts. Outstanding work, Valsa, best wishes for the contest

We have been without rain for a long time, this makes me long for those 'needles of silver' to refresh the land, so skillfully expressed~

Dear Valsa, a poem that is so descriptive on rain which we all need. So far in Malta it only rained once. Best for a win.

If only rain would sink in instead of flood! Perhaps someday government will get wise to that! Enjoyed, Valsa! Aloha!
