I dedicate this poem to Judy Nix-McCasland, a childhood neighbor and my quixotic friend of 60 years. Judy is an inspiration, for she suffers from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease--an inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ While every breath's a battle, tilting skyscrapers for a breath, Still, grace can't be sought; it seeks you. Inhalation, aspire; exhalation, inspire.
