As I sat thinking the other day, A flow of thoughts brought these words to say. Some were fleeting, some longer lasting, Like the evening shadows the sun was casting. Quenching my thirst for knowledge to be known, Neither rightness nor wrongness had a need to be shown. Titles and labels were thrown to the floor, As aspects and insights began to soar. How can the beginnings and endings be understood? If we look inside, then they could. It’s looking inside, to determine the intention, That reveals a truth that fuels comprehension. It’s the essence of Truth that we must perceive, To see its value so we can believe. Through perception to conception, we begin to relish, The connection to perfection, we then can embellish.

I don't read as much as I used too, S1. I never was a reader until my 50's except for the Bible. I prefer is learn from within and through life experiences. I've moved around a lot and lived in 7 states and visited 26 others + 5 countries. Life teaches us most of what we think we know. I've always been curious, and probably always will be. Some people have little interest in learning anything new and doing anything they haven't done before. To each their own. Thanks for the visit and comment, my friend. Bill

Brilliant writing. Truth. Truth needs no affirmation but its presence. God is no secret -- all around us, inside of us -- clearly evident in all things and in all people who allow Him to show. Wow! Outstanding writing! We search outside in books...while a library of understanding and love is already inside. Blessings my friend. Oh! A FAV

What a deep and honest write this is bill, these are words of wisdom, that has so much philosophical depth in your lines. A true learner, seeks, until they rest, theres so much more to read and learn and experience and think about, theres so many lines that stood out for me but as i read this out loud i cant help but admire the cadence of your rhymes and how lyrical this sounds whilst expressing such profound truths about so much that you feel and beyond in such an impeccable manner! Love this

Thank you, Inky, for your beautiful and inspiring comments. When I get a little down, I can always turn to the light of your comments to pick me back up. I guess this is a "getting old" thing, I used to be positive and up almost all the time. Thanks for your visits, my friend. Have a pleasant weekend. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

a beautifully flowing Rhyme poem, dear Hubby. Looking at intention is powerful...doing so releases judgment and offers a chance to see people, situations, etc., more clearly, more truthfully. I've long admired your quest for seeking the deep truth. Wonderfully said. hugs for your weekend, me

The Bible is meant to be a guide for better living. No human interpretation, because it is the word of God. And who can truly understand God? So we must follow the laws given to us, especially the gospels. Blessings

Lovely poem, and the line "Neither rightness nor wrongness had a need to be shown." speaks volumes. I have read the bible over 10 times cover to cover, an interesting book indeed, most have not, most have no idea how it came to be, nor the understanding of languages that brought it to its present day form. I do not believe it qualifies with that line though, I love the last 2 lines, so much in there! I do love books that tell history and leave it up to the reader to make his own conclusions. :)

When reading the Bible, we may not need to be too concerned with rightness or wrongness, Arthur. If you believe the Bible is the word of God, you'll probably agree that the Holy Spirit will guide each of us to the Truth we are to gleam from what we are reading. God knows what we need to know in order to know Him. I hope this helps you to see what I was referring to in the line you mentioned. Thanks for the visit and comment, my friend. Bill

It's the most interesting book I've ever read, Tom. At one time I read through the Bible at least once a year for 24 straight years. Then I matured enough to study it instead of just read through it. It totally changed my life, and I probably wouldn't have made it through the challenges I've faced without its inspiration. Thanks for sharing another thing we have in common, my friend. Have a great week! Bill
