In an abandoned field white as white lace,
or perhaps you have seen it at road sides;
nature cannot fathom an empty space,
so, into a sweet garden's this weed slides.
Queen Anne's Lace- a wild flower invasive . . .
A host to many butterflies and bees,
and a nesting material for birds;
lacy flowers swaying in the soft breeze,
that inspire poets to poetic words.
A treasure, a curse- a bit persuasive . . .
