As precious memories come and go, savor the moment and take it all in. Linger there and inhale each moment and second. Because life is so unpredictable and it goes by in a flash before we exhale. The time spent with family is such a blessing and shouldn't be taken for granted. Like the moments spent with your kids they grow up so fast. I know how important it is to cherish every moment, my dad has been gone almost twenty years. I wish I had more time to love and cherish him. All I can do appreciate the memories and cherish him from afar. Contest: Cherish Sponsor: Constance La France 04/2/2021

I remember Germany after WWII, when whole families turned out to see a family member off at the bus stop because it was "normal" not to ever see one again. Yet we still have mothers sending their child off with clean knickers for the bus instead of a kiss goodbye . . . ... Aloha! Rico

This is so sad. Sorry for your loss. 20 years can seem like a moment. Grief doesn’t come with an expiry date. Hugs Rick.

I love line, 'Linger there and inhale each moment and second.' That says so much about cherishing the loved ones in your life, Alexis. There is nothing more important than that. I miss my both my parents, who are among God's angels now. Beautifully written. Blessings, Evelyn

It is so true. It is worth remembering because everyone is busy and no time for what matters in the long run. Appreciate your thoughts!

The first thoughts that entered my mind is lyrics from a song "precious and few the moments we can share" isn't that strange. I also miss my father who has been been on heaven's shore for 25 years now and mother joined him 2 years later so she has been there 23 years. Enjoyed reading your contest entry. Reads like a good contender to me ..Way to go. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

So true Alexis. When you feel you're too busy to pay attention to family then you are too busy. The work will always be there later, but maybe that person won't be. Great job, God Bless, JB

Yes, it is so important to cherish each moment we have with the ones we love and care. Its hard when they are gone for you always want that extra time and all you have are the memories... memories you cherished forever... Beautifully written.... Happy Easter.

Hi Gershon, I've learned to “live” a new normal without my dad. But one never gets over losing a loved one . There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him. I appreciate you being the first one to stop by and leave a comment. Welcome back my friend. Have a wonderful day:-) Alexis
