Prayer

This morning I woke up and bend my knees To enter the highest of holy place Here from my Patmos to see the Shekinah seas And taste the eucharist of grace. I am praying man, for prayer is the only eye I have to see the things unseen The promise of choral trumpets in the sky When from this life I am weaned. Sometimes day's burden invisible gets heavy here Until I lift my prayer up When suddenly cares like clouds disappear From the proffered cup. O I bend my knees to give HIM thanks, to ask For favors for my friends And in HIS peace awhile with HIM to bask Till blessing for my children descends. I pray for country too, and strangers far unknown That they for therapy could shake Some compassion from compassion's throne And know the joy I have awake.

A superbly written poem and prayer, voicing obedience and love of God. A prayer requires endurance and flexibility of spirit. Even the trees bend and sway in the wind to humbly pray to God. This poem bares truth and compassion. Sweet pray is good medicine for the soul. Keep praying and asking God for wisdom and patience. Faith is your compass. let God be your rock and foundation. All the answers dwell in a prayer. Well done!

This is beautiful... really your look and expression on life and beyond life are enormously gentle and subtitle, very extremely beautfully expressed. I especially like the line"when from this life I am weened" I have never heard such a beautiful sentence describing going past death and to eternity :)

Oh, L'nass, this is so light and heavy - so beautiful a prayer. the bending of the knee, the folding of hands, the opening of the one true I...that is the one truth, and the only sight one needs. a beautiful prayer. and thank you so much for your comments today, I too feel you have a knowing inside/outside, bless you always, Kristin

aww so well written, the power of prayer is so amazing, my son had an operation today and he went in at 12 pm and we were home by 5pm done and dusted, and he has no pain where the stiches are, or where they cut him, prayer is a great way to be close to God. God bless you from diane
