Polinated With Hope
“the honeycomb’s all empty,
buzzing awoke memories-
a queen- deep medallion and black,
wings rest atop cherry trees”
noontime breaks and my soul awakens to thoughts
of when youth was pure-
I catch a glimpse of a flying insect I recognize
and she is free - (like a childhood memory)
I set my eyes upon sights of wonder as mother
nature bestows her marvel...and I reminisce
I remember when trees withered like Autumn’s duty,
and as I became older the seasons changed as quick
as a storm passing yet at times slow as a drizzle
my mind recalls youthful dreams,
days when I was worried for no reason and anxious
about everything and nothing at the same time-
laughing in emerald fields at eventide under a
sangria sunset; though I was sensitive, I was strong
listening to the buzzing that awoke memories,
remembering my youth, atop the cherry trees
~my nectar has been polinated with hope as the years pass~
