Poet's Corner

In the corner of my world, In the corner where I live, In the corner of my house, In the corner of my room, In the corner of my mind, In the corner where I sit, In the corner of my thoughts, In the corner of my dreams, In the corner of a wheel, In the corner....,. a poet lives, In the corner.......a poet dies .

Hi Mat, many thanks , agreed it's a little different , but I've always found writing to be a selfish past time, but a time to also explore the world and our minds in our own space, without the distractions of life. Thanks again Mat for taking a look , it's always appreciated . Daniel

this was a thought-provoking and poignant poem. In the corner does metaphorically describe a poet's life. Many live and die in isolation. Your words gave me much to ponder. This poem is another fabulous creation of 'Daniel the Poet.' have a pleasant evening, Sara

Hi Sara, Daniel the poet lol still I've been called worse , my great aunt was proposed to by the great Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh but she had bigger plans and turned him down . That's the closet I've been to a poet in the family . Thanks for your lovely message as always . Daniel

Dear Daniel, I love how this is a poignant exploration of the poet's existence within the confines of their own space and mind. The repetition of "In the corner" creates a sense of introspection and isolation, reflecting the solitary nature of the poet's craft. I enjoyed how your words evoke a profound contemplation of creativity and mortality, encapsulating the essence of the poet's journey. A very thought-provoking piece. - Blessings, Daniel
