Jan Allison Poet Limerick

'poem of the Year' Bawdy

My grandson’s fiancé just rocks
She’s lovely, her name’s Fonda Fox
They are soon to marry
But Fonda won’t carry
His surname because it is Cox!

Thanks to a dear friend who said this is my best poem this year - hence the title!

Reason A. Poteet June 26, 2026 at 6:08 AM I've heard many such names which bring laughter and sometimes ridicule to the poor person carrying them. My favorites being Justin Case and a former student, Beth Lee Ham. A limerick worth reading with a warning to think carefully on names.
