'poem of the Year' Bawdy

My grandson’s fiancé just rocks She’s lovely, her name’s Fonda Fox They are soon to marry But Fonda won’t carry His surname because it is Cox! Thanks to a dear friend who said this is my best poem this year - hence the title! 05/13/22

I've heard many such names which bring laughter and sometimes ridicule to the poor person carrying them. My favorites being Justin Case and a former student, Beth Lee Ham. A limerick worth reading with a warning to think carefully on names.

Jan you really write with such intense humour - a humour which appeals to your fellow poets senses, the ending, always different, prefer no guesses, I just wait for the punch line, always sublime. well penned my friend, Jennifer

I think she may be right that it's your best of the year, at least for this limerick style. Awesome.

This is right up with your best ever, Jan. I should have seen it coming, but I didn't, which only sweetened the effect. Well, you can't blame the girl. She made a wise choice.
