The sun will shine brighter tomorrow when... Mankind lives in peace, but up until then We turn on the TV and see war and hate Mankind needs to change before it's too late You may be Muslim, Christian, Hindu or Jew Be honest and tell me, does it matter to you ? Respect, love and trust, so lets get it right Then maybe our sun will shine really bright. Written on 20th June 2018 For Charles Messina Poem of Poems contest.

Love this poem. The trouble with history is it is doomed to repeat itself. Man has been evil since Cain and Able. Media these days report every thing. I just pray that the pendulum swings the other way and as your poem suggest, we start treating each other better.

Muslim, Christian, Hindu, or Jew, does it matter to you? I could add Republican, Democrat or Independent, does it matter to you? Let's start doing what is right no matter what our religious or political views are. Just do the RIGHT thing! It's that simple, folks. This poem stirred me up.

Well done Tom. Great rhyme, rhythm and emotion. I agree. God doesn't really care how we worship Him as long as we worship Him. It isn't what's in the book in front of you it's what's in your heart that counts.

Good stuff. May I suggest one change of words please? I would replace the word 'even'. E.g Muslim, Christian, Hindu or Jew. The even jars a bit with me. Only a suggestion. Many wishes, Kai

Very true words Kim, I just can't grasp why people are so hateful towards another human being because they are of a different colour or religion.when I was at work there were many nationalities' and faiths and to me they were fellow human beings. Tom

Hope, when it should be expectations, goodwill the norm. I doubt people like Trump can spell the word diplomacy, let alone understand it!
