Poem For My Sun
To my Sun, l've become
silent to the screeching
screams from sirens,
hiding beneath sapphire seas.
I'm floating like tepid
ripples in wandering waves,
serenading in songs
from my maternal instinct,
glimmering like starry
rays kissing the bed of
the ocean, perfecting
clarity in
an obscure reality.
When minutes turn
into endless months,
drifting days are
dragged into a dark
aquarium of tears,
filled with sandy shells
lost amongst an
empty embellishment
of emeralds.
Unfurl your golden halo
to embrace doleful draughts,
cradling colors of waning
sunsets with patience,
as warmth between
cold currents mirror
pleasant pantomimes
of your pearlescent
childhood.
Never forge life
as a faultless
aquatic garden,
never encourage your fears
to tread and unmask
unseen tales recklessly.
I hope you always swim
in butterfly strokes
beyond ravishing reefs,
searching for the truth
within the blue bliss
spine of the seven seas,
tackling tides that
roaringly fall through
highs and lows.
Although sinister nypmhs
may strum
sonorous serenades,
remain the unbreakable
vessel that feeds
your ivory soul,
with sanguine streams
that serve
unwavering light,
cherish the
coastal constellations,
before they collapse
into a chaos of
cluttered crystals.
Inhale petrichor
musks of soaring dreams,
unlock glistening gates
engraved with
whimsical narratives
from grievous gems,
reciting prewritten
verses awaiting to
be crooned, for notes of
nature synchronize
tunes of
tranquil tomorrows.
Remember, tonight,
l've let my mermaid
heart ink
watercolor dawns,
weaving love and life
on paper wings,
As you are
the azure
eye of heaven,
without you,
there will be no
poetry left to release.
You are the
art that paints
every raven torrent
with salt soaked
rare
diamonds.
