Philosopher's Stone

Do Not Trust a Word, she says

She speaks of sunken treasures the way no one else does
The map to her heart is drawn by the sun
Her smile of gold ride out the waves
The moon attracted by the prestige of her glowing art
With great pleasure, your heart now sits in a glass case

Her love lavishes making every moment memorable.
This lovely lady cultivates you in every way
Your blood rises to her flirtatious demand,
Her eyes, hypnotize, invade every dream,
Endless lust, pulled by the enigma of dragon dust wind
Falling flowers of forgetfulness, when lost to her spell
She lives, she breathes your ribs in

Words were spoken, now wrapped around your heart
In a game of trust, her kiss hushes your lips
Like a syndrome, you babble and drool ----stepping all over yourself
You are nothing more than a fool in love,
Trusting and turning every word she says into gold

Very cool and sensual poem, SKAT. Those type of women crave love too ... albeit they twist it when it's placed in their hands. Powerful poem w/amazing imagery from start to finish. Love this poem a whole lot, dear. Love and joy to you.

Everyone seeks treasure SKAT and love is one that everyone retreaves from a wreckage of hope but can't keep, it has a way of sinking back to the ocean and leaving us fools, I love this! SKAT.... -Lucas-

Beautiful, my friend. You have a way of conveying the words you need to say unlike no other. Your lines and also between your lines are deliciously written (or not written, as the case may be). Love this.

This reads aloud even more richly than its disembodied flat-page incarnation. Performance art? I confess, it was the title that drew me into this love storm. or stone, I meant to say. Gerald

Ahhh! Trapped again...willing, or NOT! The "love is blind" is one theme in poetry that has never had a book dedicated to it. I gather b/c we are all so in grief when our eyes open, or all so deliriously and deliciously blind, that we hope they shall never open again!
