Perspective
Alone.
Your life will never improve;
You can only depend on yourself
Because you will find that if
You have to depend on others
They will so often let you down.
Your independence and self-reliance
Are your greatest assets.
Your family and friends
They only care about you
Simply because
You can help them in their need.
If you see someone suffering
Try to avoid them if you can.
Your failures,
Past shortcomings and problems are
Because of those around you.
You are most likely to succeed
When you are by yourself.
You are not better
Together.
This is a reversible poem and can (and should) also be read line by line from bottom to top.
In this case, if you don't read it backwards, you won't see from a different perspective. ;)
