PEEKING AHEAD

For dinner we are going to the popular ‘Stars’
Restaurant, we have booked some years ago,
We also booked to see the famous show,
We don’t know if the actors are
From the human race or from the
Growing robotic generation, but it’s
Comedy, so it should be fun.

The menu is somewhat different,
Green, pink, purple, red and blue
Veggies, no protein allowed anymore,
On Mars animals do not exist,
And it is a criminal offense
On planet earth, you cant even
Keep a pet, but you can adopt
A baby Martian however,
They are ever so cute, we
Have one, whose name is Bobby,
He is the baby sitter for our twins, one
Human, one robot as hubby
Is half human and half robot.

My granny always wanted to spend
New Year in a celestial atmosphere,
With galactic lights,
And a view of the milky way,
So we brought her along
Longevity pills have been her secret,
For looking 30 years younger.
Granny is all human,
She was getting the eye from
A grandpa at the table next to us,
Who also had the markings
Of a human, a turnip nose, this
Had evolved so fast, who knows why,
Over the last almost
200 years, and it was a vivid pink
Grandpa asked her to dance, their noses
Kept bumping, I felt that humanoids
Were far handsomer than humans, but
My gran and her beau fell
In love at first sight, sadly they are
From a race that is
Rapidly disappearing.

Elon Musk was responsible
For developing Mars,
His name crafted as it’s famous
Pioneer, often seen, scattered
Among the stars.
His will ,myths say, that when he died,
He was to be encapsulated,
Which capsule was to be opened
On New Years Eve, the year 2199,
The time five minutes to twelve,
But who said that enemies don’t exist
Anymore, for as we sang Auld Lang Syne,
A traditional Scottish folk song still popular
From old Fashioned Planet Earth,
Space-ships from Saturn dropped missiles,
And drones flew above us,
Death and dying was the grim scene,
Granny decided to stay with her
Grandpa beau, we got a space-ship rotator,
Humans still call them a taxi, and
Zipped back to chaotic Planet Earth,
Rather the devil you know.

We joined the as far as you can see
Queue, to vote for our world leader,
The popular candidate was the great, great
Great grandson, about another 10 times ,
Of USA’S 2025 president, Donald Trump,
History repeating itself,
Vote for Donald Trump Junior.

Hope you enjoyed peeking with me.

This was an absolute intergalactic delight! You’ve blended satire, sci-fi, family love, and a touch of nostalgia with such clever humor. From baby Martians named Bobby to pink turnip noses and robotic babysitters, every detail had me smiling. And Granny finding love among the stars? Priceless! The ending twist—equal parts dark comedy and political wink—was brilliant. What a ride through cosmic absurdity and oddly touching moments. Loved every second of it!..Love and Hugs

So imaginative. Such great imagery. I'm glad that the grandmother and grandfather are human and sharing affection.

LOL! Love how you put in the story of the two full-blooded humans falling for each other…a curious thing… Great storytelling that kept me in its grip. Hugs

Innovative endeavor, dear Jenny. It reflects the pinnacle of your creativity. The matters you have delineated may not be dismissed as simple fabrication. Such advancements may occur in the imminent future; three decades ago, would we ever contemplate the technological landscape we observe now in laptops, cars, telephones, and daily life? I found this escapade enjoyable, Jennifer.

Dear Jenny, this is the height of your imagination..... ! The things you have described here cannot be brushed aside as mere fiction. Such developments may happen in the near future. Since the last two decades, we have been witnessing unprecedented changes like the AI. Who knows how the world will be in 2199. However enjoyed your quirks of fancy!

Creative work. I am not that imaginative. LOL..Way to go. Thanks for sharing. I don't think I would want a turnip nose at any time though so I will leave the pills alone. Sara K

I think I'll stay put in the first half of the 2000's, if you don't mind. Lol. Enjoyed this romp, Jennifer. ~ Gershon

WOW!!! What a creative write/story. Loved your line, "Longevity pills have been her secret, For looking 30 years younger." I want some. Are you selling them??? Hahaha!!! 35 years ago, did we ever think about what we are seeing today in computers, cars, phones and life??? I wonder if 2199 will ever come. Have a blessed day writing away.............
