Past, Future, Present

The past has been an embarrassing blooper Spying on the present like a jealous snooper Never been much of a promise keeper Turning soon into a miserable weeper Bragging always about the good old days Urging the present to sing its praise. Future gives hope but keeps on guessing Compared to present it's quite a blessing! Dreams endlessly in heavenly places Showers with love ambiguous graces Promises nothing that's worth anything Mesmerizes coyly obscuring everything. Present tells tales about the past and the future It can be a keeper, weeper, or a dream maker Or cruel, hate, hell, despair, grasping for air Or hope, love, joy, heaven, granting a prayer. You have analysed the past, present and future in the right perspective. Present is what we make it.... ! It can be sad , merry, joyful or jocund. The future gives us the scope to dream. Unfortunately most of us live in the past. A beautiful poem, dear Vijay!

Vijay just a year ago way back her in your pages you were displaying such a talent for creativity!! I love this. Did you actually start writing around the time you joined Soup or have you been at it for a long time? This is deep in thought and fun to read. Such an exquisite take on everything. Definitely love that last stanza, the perfect way to end this great poem.

I think the last stanza says it all. The present is everything. Live in the now and make it what u want. Great ideas in ur words.
