Pampered Feline

black feline turns her pouty nose baked salmon does not meet her pleasure forgets she found solace from nature’s wrath rambling through woods seeking food challenged by predators curls up on my lap safe from elements outside purrs without a care oblivious to her past protected from life outdoors no wind ruffles fur -- assured she'll never hunger for love or for food

Carolyn ths was a very enjoyable read, very creavite piece. thank you for you kind comments on what you said about me, and for my A Tear Drop Fell today. it was based on this little girl we knew who lived down stairs from us in 1975 or 1976. she was hit and killed by a car at age 6. My wife and i went to her funeral. it was sad seeing that small coffin they had her in.

Hi Carolyn my friend, Your poem reminds me of my black cat "Minnie" in the 1970ies! Lovely Tanka you have posted here! Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, there a certain similarities between Helga Deen and Anne Frank. But Anne Frank was not murdered as she died of thypoid fever. Her mother was killed and only her father suvived who later edited her diary. Thank you for your kind wishes. My arm is better now but still pains at times. Love, Gert

I give it the top mark because I am the animal man and my middle name is Francis. Cats are a peculiar breed, but when they want your love, they are irresistable, aren't they?! Thanks and regards from Gerard.

Carolyn, your pampered feline hit the spot. Tender, considerate, loving. Great job. Thanks for your in-depth comment on my Empty Chairs poem. I did not lose anyone in the fiasco, but living so close, I have visited the site many times--beautiful now with the memorial

definitely cats are different creatures, they are also independent to an extent,,though they do enjoy both love and caring from their owners,, this is indeed a wonderful write and I wish you the best in the contest,,,Blessings..Cecil

well, in his rules he said to make it "beautiful" so I guess it depends on how beautiful he finds a playful macaw to be. heehee!
