Pain's Crucifixion
and when ease of mind comes
without resurrection from the
soul's crucifixion of pain's
onward torment,
i seek only solitude for
solitude itself...
desolation and isolation
have become my greatest
strengths,
they reach heights for
each other and in moments
of blazing obscurity,
i rise like a phoenix
a willow weeps with her blades
of mourning,
chartreuse leaflets of tissues
seep regret and she is bound
by woe forevermore
but
there is pulchritude in anguish,
beauty in pain-
there's something about the
charm of spiritual apathy that
releases the endorphins to
a mind's redemption
and I am but a woman,
craving to see the beauty
in scars,
the wounds that cut the
deepest are the wounds that
mean the most...
i may swim in sorrow and
drown in remorse,
but i find splendor in agony-
for it grieves with me,
and i am left breathless in
beautiful cacophony
