Pages Tattered
I turn back the pages ...all the tattered pages ...
yellow and brittle and fading with time
and I find myself weeping an ocean of moments
Tears are like the quiet drift
Of petals from some magic rose
And grief yet flows from the rift
Of unremembered skies and snows"
in time I found love ... he was my prince- my everything
we had so many dreams for our future
but, in the book of life his destiny was written
and he became a name engraved in stone
my heart was shattered in a thousand pieces- broken
but, I discovered a strength within
and I picked up every shattered piece of my heart
and put them carefully in my pocket ... in time
I glued together ... all those jagged pieces
