Out On A Limb

A tall tree I did climb,
on a bet of a dime.
Baby Bear said it was funny,
it was not for the big money.
The limb broke what a crime.

Ouch!! Your limb, or the tree's limb or both? As an aside my friends and I when we were kids always used to climb trees usually for conkers (the hard, shiny dark brown nut of a horse chestnut tree). Do kids climb trees nowadays? I don't know. I digress. I enjoyed your limerick Paula. Cheers - Gary
