Our God is bountiful because
Unlike our own hearts
His is completely filled
With a generous spirit
One that fulfills us all
And God is bountiful because
Despite our selfishness
His gifts are abundant
Plentiful and numerous
Willing to bless us always
And God is bountiful because
We aren’t always perfect
But He assuredly is flawless
With gifts alive and wise
Filled with love, hope and light
I long to give back only a small portion
Of the love and kindness He has given me
