One Of The Deepest Mysteries Of Life If the wistful wind sighs, and I take my last breath will my mortal soul weep only at this, my death? Can man live, our existence ever understand death is natural, its living we must withstand? If years eat away at eager heart, soul and mind can true love and moonlight stroll release such a bind? Shall warm kisses found under bright glistening stars banish sad memories, remove deepest of scars? If sent, will blessings renew hope and faithful thought on the correctness of Love, the kind never bought? When whispering winds proclaim Life is too cruel know this, Love is most magnificent of jewels. If heart and soul can unite to dear romance seek. Into vagaries of Life and Fate we may peek. R.J. Lindley, January 10th, 1974 Sonnet, ( asking why the barnyard rooster crows.) Note- A sonnet now presented, as was requested..

The searching mind of a true philosopher, even at such a young age, already pondering his mortality. Yet another masterpiece from the early collection.

Thank you my great friend. I was two months shy of being 20 years old when I wrote this one. And in the deep blues about the recent death of my very good friend.

Thank you my great friend. You are correct , thee are no return flights and no discounts either.. All must pay the high costs of living in this dark world.
