One Flower

A simple, tall, yellow flower Brightens up the whole yard Blooming in the green plants Seeming to proudly show its face Thin, soft petals open wide Oh, how growth makes a difference From one single flower to see Heidi Sands 8/15/20

Hello Heidi ... flowers bring so much beauty into our lives. I recall when on a trip seeing a field of canola's golden flowers beside a field of Salvation Jane's purple flowers on a distant hillside; truly spectacular - thank you Heidi - Lindsay

A poem as beautiful as the flower it describes--splendidly done, Heidi.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I planted sunflowers in Spring, but the one I noticed was the runt which only grew 7-inches tall! I'm saving the seeds to see what happens next year!

Hi Silent One. No, it isn't a Sunflower and not that tall...but has a long stem and stands alone beautifully. All bright yellow. Thank you :)

Yes, dear one, even one flower makes a difference. Even a dandelion in the hand of a child. Corrie Ten Boom tells a story of being in a dismal colorless concentration camp. As she walks behind the guard she sees a flower, bends down to get it and it gives her hope. Be blessed with bouquet of color, my friend!

Yellow flowers certainly brighten up the garden Heidi, I'm guessing it's a sun flower. Tom

Hi Tom. Actually, it is not a Sunflower. It is smaller and very bright. I am not sure what kind it is. I didn't plant it. Thank you for your visit and comment. I hope you have a nice day :)
