How the movement of light
seems to trace
my ardor lingering in whirls of flame;
where glimmers of a cherished dream
become this heart’s desire
to journey with you
along waves of endless moments.
I cuddle hours waning through faded notes,
for my affection always clings
inside your breath...but trickles of rain
sweep this sweet intent I cannot ever have;
yet I memorize those fingers well,
knowing my love is one-sided...
O painful the ache of a moon blue
releasing your quickened look
as the train whistles of farewell
while you hug me mildly...
calling me 'dear friend.'
