Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time, long time ago in a dark forest made up of a dream
a musical note I heard flow I entered quietly wanted to see
Grabbed a boat made of ice cream wafers and off did row
I crossed a stream of lemonade, bent down to drink and saw
A penguin dressed as a butler, handing me a glass and straw
I waved hello, a flipper waved back
Asked him “excuse me but who makes the music here”
His face turned thunder black, letting out a mighty quack
Tweaked his tail and turned, shuffling away from me
Next thing I see is a bush of bright yellow
A sherbet bush, I dipped in my finger
Oh was heavenly, wasn’t I a lucky fellow
But pink sugar mouse wouldn’t let me linger
We must leave this place before midnight
Come he said the jelly king want's to see
Who or what is disrupting his forest
Don’t forget go down on one knee
He sat there on a throne of ice cream
Spoon in hand, he started to eat
Soon the music I had heard in a dream
Came twinkling past me, landed at my feet
Was a bell in silver with a smiley face
Hello he tinkled you looking for me
Hang me on your tree at Christmas
I will play for you happily
