Once Upon a Time
’’’’’’’ ‘’ ‘ ‘’’
So many tales born in these walls,
As dusk spills, my reverie recalls
Grandma’s stories as rooftop tolls,
While moon’s blue star listens and stalls
In seasons past her chirp still crawls.
Her gift of verse dripped like rainfall,
Night walks where I gave her a shawl
As reams of myth flowered the soul
So many tales...
How sadly I stroll as light befalls
Her rhymes still dance on jeweled halls,
The shawl now mine fragrant with scrolls
Through her eyes, my prose become whole
Lacing my pen dipped in raw squalls
So many tales...
