On Winds of Love

"The wind is the pounding of my heart." Your hand touched mine and ignited a spark that stirred my emotions like a hallmark. A flame began burning inside my heart as a gentle breeze, a light in the dark. Desire was soon flowing within my veins like gusts of wind that blow before it rains. I trembled, overcome by what I felt, a force surging through me and there remains. When you're near my heart cannot be discreet. Can you hear its pounding crescendo beat? It sounds like thunder roars inside of me, as passion fills me with amorous heat. Winds of love are billowing in the air, but if there is danger, I'm not aware. My only thoughts are of your sweet kisses. To be denied is more than I could bear. I realize love is a treasured gift, and ours blew in on a gale, strong and swift. It streams in me like a windswept river, and in its current, I'm content to drift. August 9, 2022 ~ A Rubaiyat Let Your Muse Be Inspired Contest Sponsored by Constance La France

Romantic penning Jenna, or perhaps pining, you describe the nascent uncontrollable feeling of falling in love, and helplessly going with the flow, the direction is unpredictable so probably best just to drift along, great one for the contest, cheers David

I'm not pining for anyone, David. The chosen theme led me in this direction, so I DID go with the flow. Thanks for liking it.

Is this in response to Tom's, "Vultures Circling"? Aloha!

Nope. His vultures joined mine in circling, but that was in another time and place.

Thank you very much, Milt. I've been busy with seminars most of last week, but the site seems a bit quiet to me.
